I have curly hair and would like to straighten it occasionally at home, but I find blowdrying really difficult. Is it safe to use a hair straightener without blowdrying? If so, what brand and products do you recommend? (Anne from Katoomba)
Answer: Anne, if you are not blowdrying your hair first it is important to wait until your hair is completely dry then apply a heat resistant product(i recommend L’Oreal Liss Ultime Serum) this product is guareented to protect your hair from the straightener. You must have some barrier to protect your hair this will stop it from burning thus prevent split ends.

Can you tell me a good brand of hairdryer? I have curly hair and my current dryer isn’t hot enough, even with a diffuser. Any ideas? (Anne from Katoomba)
Answer: Anne, any brand should be fine but it’s the watts that count, the higher the wattage the hotter and more speed it will have. I use a brand called Parlux and it works great. You can get these from any price attack or hairdressing shop.
